Dags för the South Wales Derby
I am sat here watching my beloved Swansea City playing at the cesspit known as Ninian Park against Cardiff. We are 1-0 up but a long way to go yet.
I have it on full blast and all I can hear is the scum supporters singing ‘You Jack Bastard’. Jack is the nickname for Swansea people. While being at a derby match like Swans Cardiff (the first derby that banned away fans because of trouble) may seem like hell to you I am homesick.
I went to loads of these games in my youth and my twenties, my mother would be a bag of nerves but it was all a part of growing up and being part of a larger community, pride in our city. Of course I didnt go fighting or anything like that but I certainly learned how to curse at these matches.
I was there during pitch invasions, chairs being thrown, police hitting fans with batons, getting charged in the street but I was there when Swans scored late winners and shut the pretenders up.
Soon I shall be attending my first Stockholm derby…Bajen against Djurgården, I wonder how that will compare!

Just seen a report that the ref was hit by something during the game. Seems the behaviours you remember as a child are still upheld by some thugs who don’t have the capacity to think. Can’t tolerate mindless violence in football, it does the reputation of our leagues no favours.
No surprises there.
The thing is what do they expect that will achieve?
Mike Dean is a very experienced ref but its hardly going to help them win any 50/50 decisions. He was visibly very angry about it.
Shame really.
Joe Allen should have been the hero…bl**dy ref. That was never a penalty. So close. But, what a season by the swans! Not long time ago since we were really close in going to conf. league. Remember Hull 2003…
JACK ARMY!
