in Our Man in Sweden

Allegedly its the ‘turnstiles that make them hostile’ but its the Swedish FA that has them singing songs that do mean a thing.

Many of you will be aware of the sad case of Dawit Isaak, a Eritrean citizen who fled his country during the civil war, moved to Sweden become a Swedish citizen and moved back to Eritrea when things quietened down. He was later arrested without charge and to date no human rights organisation or the Swedish government have been permitted to visit him. You can read more here.

Örgryte fans are outraged because their club have been fined by the baffoons at the SvFF (Swedish FA) for unfurling a poster saying ‘free Dawit’.  Apparently Dawit took his kids to watch Örgryte so there is a connection.

The SSvFF say the fine is because this is political but come on…its about time someone threw out these old men from Swedens football federation because they are fast becoming a joke.

In retaliation at the fine and in a show of support, Bajen and A*K fans are threatening to unfurl their own banners in support of the campaign though of course Bajen have already been fined a fortune this season by these clowns but what price do you put on values?

If you get fined for showing a banner saying “Free Dawit!”…does that mean that you get a reward if your banner is stating “Keep him in – throw away the key!”?!?
