Tyrkisk Peber – Turkish Pepper

Just when I was starting to think I had tasted most things in my 18 months in Sweden along comes Turkish Pepper or Tyrkisk Peber.

Wikipedia claims its a candy liquorice with ‘ammonium chloride’.

Its a unique taste and I can imagine a lot of people not going for this. I was really quite taken aback when I bit into the centre! But I liked this originally Danish but now loved all over the Nordics candy! Apparently they do a chilli version…will have to check that out!
