Day 1 Juicing Diet Juices

So what juices did I make on Day 1 of my juicing diet.

Bärbegär

3 apples
1 1/2 dl cranberryjuice (tranbär in Swedish)
2 1/2 dl blueberries
1 tablespoon of psyllium powder

This was my breakfast juice/smoothie bloody lovely it was!

Grön Och Skön
4 slices of pineapple
100g broccoli
1/4 cucumber
1 kiwi fruit

Hmm wasnt so fussed on this one. Odd taste.

Päron med Sting

No Police records here though, the sting was ginger ;-)

1 pair
2 celery stalks
2 1/2 cm fresh ginger.

The business, really enjoyed this one!

Those last two I took to work the following I made when I got in.

Ett Glas Rött (glass of red!)

1/2 litre cleaned strawberries
5 medium sized tomatoes

Bloody lovely and very filling! I like this one!

Chiliapelsin (Chili Orange)

3 carrots
4 slices of Pineapple
1/2 lime
1/2 small chili
tablespoon of chopped coriander.

Ah a juice with chili, bring it on!

This is a lovely one but I went a bit mad with the chili so my lips are burning!

So the first day of my juicing diet is almost at an end. How do I feel?

Honestly.

I am really tired, feel drowsy. Apparently this is expected and I will have an early night tonight. I did get a banging headache this afternoon as well. I have drunk at least 2 litres of water today which has resulted in many trips to the loo!

The thing is if you look at the above there is actually a lot of food there. When I am hungry..sorry think I am hungry I imagine all that food in front of me.

Lets see what Day 2 brings. I am expecting it to get worse before it gets better.

Hi Shane,
I detox once a year and have been for the past 13 years. I buy a package at the “häslokostbutik” – Ledins “Vitaminfaste”. I don´t know if your regime has recommended the “nertrappning” and “upptrappning” but that has really worked for me. I have 2 days nertrappning, 6 days on fluids and 2 days upptrappning. I have learned that the headache can be due to the lack of coffee so I usually stop drinking it a week before. My experience is Day 1-3 of the fluid part I feel really “shit” – tried and quite empty headed all my concentration is on me and how I am feeling!! but after the 3rd day that is when the kick comes and I suddendly feel it was all worth it. Have so much energy for everthing and I start feeling really clean inside – it like turning your body inside out and giving it a good scrub!!! I found that the first detox was the worst and the experience makes it esaier the 2nd and 3rd time and so on. My advice to you is do not eat a massive meal (steak and chips) as your first meal – take it easy the first few days by eating only vegetarian and then add some fish and lastly get back on the meat. Good Luck and looking forward to following your detox. My last one was just before Christmas and I am still feeling great for it.

Thats very reassuring to hear!

I know Miss P did that that fast last year, poor girl had the flu at the same time so I always admired her for that. More willpower than me.

When I finish the Seven Day juice diet I will go to soups and salads. I love soups so no hardship there! I might come back to you for more advice but thanks for listing the benefits as everyone else is telling me this is dangerous!
