Sometimes friends really amaze me.
Take the case of Kelvin. I only know him through our joint love of Swansea City FC. He is an active member of the SEALS (South East and London Swans) which I helped set up some time back. I think the first time I met Mr Cery, I was wearing an empty box of Carling beer on my head as we hurtled on the train towards London from some Northern shithole, Grimsby I think it was…
He is just back from a work stint in India and comes up with this beauty, the Snowball Project
Fair play he is attempting to raise 1 million quid for Cancer Charities in one year. Am ambitious task for most celebrities yet Kev is relatively unknown outside South West Wales, various drinking clubs in London and the expat bars of Mumbai.
Tomorrow he attempts something that in all honesty you could not give me one million pounds to do…The Cresta Run.
Here is an article from the FT on the Cresta Run…ten corners up to 80 mph on a little metal thing which you steer by rakes on your feet. No chance.
I dont use this blog to ask for donations as such but I really want to highlight what Kelvin is doing here. This makes my half marathon attempt pitiful!
You can keep tabs on the Snowball Project via the website, twitter and facebook not to mention his own Youtube Channel
I cant compete with Swansea Sound sorry The Wave but I will try get a little interview with Kelvin and the Snowball Project…if he survives…
