Last night was time for an official farewell from 3 people who have had a big influence on my life here in Sweden.
It was a casual affair as we hit a nice Argentinian restaurant followed by drinks in Gamla Stan and the Bajen Republic of Södermalm. I was joined by ‘the fisherman’, ‘the farmer’ and ‘the Professor’ aka Eskilstoona!
The fisherman and the farmer are two of my senior managers who have really helped me in my managerial and business efforts. One of them is now replacing me as I go Stateside. Eskilstoona has been a blogkompis from pretty much the start of this blog. He has some very interesting observations on Swedish life and the world of politics. He has done very well for himself coming from a very working class background in Newcastle to being a Professor. I like hanging out with the kinds of people rather than those who have been given everything on a silver spoon.
The conversation was varied as always, Nixon, Bowie in Berlin, Mona Sahlin, Littorin and football!!!!

A good night was had by all and yes I maintained my sobriety but only just. I guess this is the endgame, I am set to leave these shores on August 11th, I am excited but sad.
