I am stuck in Amsterdam until Sunday at the very earliest.
I guess there are worse places to be stranded!

Take the train to Köln instead and spend a day or 2 there.
That way, if the planes are delayed any more (which they are expected to be) you can take the train to – Hamburg / Kobenhavn / Malmö / Stockholm.
Its a long journey but I know of a fellow Stockholmian who was stuck in Barcelona this past Thursday and had to take the train up after al the flights were cancelled (which was a good move based on heinsight)
I’m in Geneva and had felt a bit guilty staying away so long for work. However, now that I’ve got no choice in the matter this isn’t so important.
I marvel at the sheer energy stored in the earth and the unpredictable way in which it is expended. This isn’t even mother nature blowing her nose, its merely a sniffle and its already wreaked havoc over a continent. We really are tiny insignificant creatures on this planet. It won’t take much to wipe us off it.
`You are right David. I have been to the area when these volcanoes are, its like another world.
Of course I am super pissed off right now as we are all so helpless and I really need to get to Stockholm because we have a lot of customers to assist.
Thanks Mark, am looking into a train tomorrow, 21 hours !!!!
