I bought a great book on bike rides in Stockholm

Alla dessa cykel promenader

The rides are about 20kms or so and go to different places in and around Stockholm. The book has some great photos and text on what you will see. Right up my street.

There are two treks I was really interested in. One that goes from Årstaberg to Sätra. You basically hit Liljeholmen and then get to Lake Mälaren. This is a part of Stockholm I do not know. OK it was 25 degrees but it was awesome, so much so that Shane even fancied a swim! I dont do that too often.

I got past my little lake where I fish and then a nice trail took me to Vinterviken and then to Mälaren. The ride was hard in parts as there were quite a lot of hills so not for the faint-hearted. Also I didnt take any water with me, schoolboy error. I made it to about 3kms of Sätra and then headed back.

Mälaren

Mälaren

I took a lot of photographs of my Mälaren cycle ride so please go and take a look. I assure you the scenery is beautiful and on my week off I can think of nowhere better to be than Sweden. During any low periods living here I will think back to this day because it really opened my eyes. Mälaren is only a twenty minute bike ride for me, I am so lucky.

Stockholm cycling

Stockholm bike ride no 2 will be from Farsta to Södermalm coming through Nacka reservat which I am told is beautiful. Today I want to fish, tomorrow I will cycle.

cool! nice photos. you should put up a map using bluewalks.com to show the path you took. i have no idea where most cities, spots are located so that could help.
