And boy does my head ache.
I met blog friend Eskilstoona yesterday and took the good Professor to his first Bandy match.
I was really suprised when he turned up in very light clothing and then I realised he thought we were going to innebandy which is played indoors. Then again Geordies wear the same clothes in winter as they do in the summer so.
We had a good day out, the score finished Hammarby Bandy 6 Haparanda 6.
Haparanda is way up North on the Finnish border so it wasnt a surprise not to see or hear many of their fans. Its about 1300 miles North of Stockholm with only.
Though Eskilstoona and I didnt make it out to the second half. We stayed in the big beer tent where there was actually a better atmosphere than outside. We drank Bandy Kaffee, black coffee with a slug of whiskey. Unfortunately we drank too much of it and I have suffered today. The tent was rammed with people and this was probably the biggest gate of the season. Unfortunately a lot of the boys had family commitments so couldnt make it. But we made new friends.
Nice to speak with different Bajare though, even managed to get into a political row with a Vänsterpartiet, never a good thing when I have had a few. Sorry T!
I do really like the atmosphere at the Bandy, no shit, no violence, just Bajare (and supporters of other clubs!) enjoying a day out.
Now wheres those Alka Seltzers!
