Paddy K Swedish Extravaganza

in Our Man in Sweden

I love stumbling on English language blogs of other expats who live in Sweden.

Today I stumbled on Paddys piece titled ‘Strange Food and how to find them on the Swedish Daily Mail site..thats the Local ;-)

At first I was pretty pissed off when reading this rant as I always feel that foreigners living here should sample and explore Swedish cuisine and beverages and not curse the fact you cant get a proper pint of Guiness in Stockholm. Yeah I miss Y Fenni cheese and order it on special occasions from Taylors but I also eat Västerbotten cheese and other Swedish cheeses as well. For those who are interested here is  short but informative blog piece on Swedish Cheese by the Cheese Lover

However when I checked out Paddy K’s own blog I calmed down as I read he has been here since 1997. Thats 13 years, the guy is entitled to lust after his potato waffles and a pint of the black stuff if he has been here that long.

Its the foreigners I meet who have been here five minutes and refuse to integrate that get me wound up…

Anyway, check out Paddy K its an interesting blog.

He writes rather well, as do you.

When are we going to have another Swedish blog entry btw ? Having heard you speak there should be nothing stopping you, other than 5 minutes checking your written grammar before sending it off.

Think of this as a useful kick in the arse. Almost every time I read your blog I get a kick in the arse and reminded that I need to do more exercise :) .
