I think its dependent how you view them, some are sharp, some are bitter, some are witty, some are deliberately awful such as…

I like old Morrissey but he has had some of the worst lyrics in modern popular music.

I think the only one to beat him in terms of shady lyrics was Belinda Carsile’s : “I remember I was in a tanning salon, when I heard that River Phoenix was gone”
