OK it was only a small skog (forest) and it was a Dutch one rather than a Swedish one.
I brought my running gear with me and it took all my willpower to bounce out of the hotel foyer to go a running. The temperature is minus 2/3 so it was bracing. It was a nice run, easy pace and a lovely country park near my hotel outside of Amsterdam.
The thing I love about running is being able to explore and thats what I did, to an extent that I lost my bearings for a bit but it was a nice way to burn more running minutes as I figured my way back to Europaboulevard.
My winter gear held up well, the gloves were very toasty, the Craft tights ok and I wore my Fjällräven wooly hat as my Bajen one is on the thin side, that kept me really warm.
A bit embarrassing to bump into a colleague on the way back to the hotel. They dont know I run, I think he was shocked

Happy to hear that you are using your new gear
thought you might be interested, I found a pair of shoes with “spikar” for running and walking – http://www.icebug.se – my husband and our neighbour has just bought a pair and they seem to hold up very well both on ice and snow.
but not for us
we are off to Wales on Saturaday to spend Christmas with my family so it will probably be a wet one!!!! I´ll let you know if there´s been any major changes in Swansea!!
You have probably heard that the snow has fallen big time in Sweden, (noticed that you will abroad) so it will probably be a white Christmas for you
Have a great Christmas
