Lars Ohly has never said that he stopped being a Communist. Quite the opposite actually. Back in 2005, after facing strong criticism from within his 0wn party because he kept calling himself a Communist, he decreed that he would no longer call himself a Communist (in public). He stated that he still adhered to those values though. Journalists kept asking him if he still WAS a Communist . He kept replying that he had decided to not call himself that anymore. Every time he got that question he kept saying that he had decided not to CALL himself that anymore.
