Lars Ohly says no no no then yes yes yes to EU!
Oh dear only several months after fighting a very anti EU campaign during the Swedish Euro Elections, Lars Ohly has changed his mind.
The Swedish Communists, sorry Left Party, have decided to drop their opposition to EU membership policy and now support it!
Don’t get me wrong there is nothing wrong in changing political direction, but only based upon new evidence or figures. Lars Ohly‘s Vänsterpartiet took a hammering in the EU election for being anti EU and now they change a major policy but based on what? It was only a few months back that I stood in Kvarnen and watch him debate Jan Björklund, he was very the Folkpartiet leaders staunch Europeanism.
It would be nice to hear them admit they got it wrong, or they have ‘listened to the people’ but no, no explanation.
Mona Sahlin must be desperate to include the Left Party in her coalition…I hope the Swedish electorate are not as desperate.

Mona Sahlin’s gang (aka known as a possible next government) frightens me. They have “principles” (aka dogma) but little clear-headed thinking behind their policies (aka subventions to their client state).
To me, Mona and Lars evoke images of Kinnock and Duncan Smith. One can only hope that they will also remain failed opposition leaders.
