Fasting

No not another diet but yesterday I got a fasting injection.

As the map here shows you, these nasty insects are rife where I live, especially out in the Archipelago. I have seen a lot of warning about getting the jab and decided to get the injection yesterday. There are a lot of drop in places and the whole thing was over in five minutes. Not a big fan of needles and the nurse spoke very little English and didnt get my humour, anyway it wasnt painful and there were no side effects, other than the 300 SEK dent in my wallet.

I have to go back in two weeks for the second one and then next year.

If I am out fishing a lot then its really not worth catching this disease as its odd on I will get bitten. These little fuckers bury themselves into your skin and suck your blood. Something I expect in Africa but not in Northern Europe…
