I did two very Swedish things last week..
Firstly I had some filmjölk – desribed as
‘a Swedish mesophilic fermented milk product that is made by fermenting cow’s milk with a variety of bacteria from the species Lactococcus lactis and Leuconostoc mesenteroides.’
Sounds delicious right. The Swedes love it and have it mainly for breakfast. I tried it before and have to be honest I wasnt so keen.
I tried it again recently as one of my smoothies/juices required yoghurt with a lot of good bacteria. Now it was really took thick for the smoothie so I ate a bowl of it. Hmm I quite liked it. Last time I had it I nearly spat it out.
Fellow blogger on life in Sweden Hairy Swede writes more about his adventures with Filmjölk its worth a read.
The second…. I did Stryktipset for the first time. This is the Swedish version of the British Football Pools that I blogged on recently.
I was furious. As far as I understand, you are in the prizes if you get 10 or more results right out of 14.
I had 9 wins correctly! However. my team, my beloved Swansea City who I had down for an away win at Watford..well the game was frozen off and the Swedish Panel had it down as a draw. Bastards! I was in for a few quid there…
I did do it online, but like my mate Peter I do like the idea of filling the coupon on. I bet I will never get anywhere near 10 wins again. Bloody pools panel, Swans would have murdered the Hornets!!

It is 13 games in Stryktipset, not 14.
Ha Ha must have been a Solna version then
10 out of 13 normally don’t give you much more than your money back. But, still fun to win something. I have 12 as my best, but that I had to share with a lot of people beacause there weren’t so many unexpected results that weekend. I think I won like 750 kr or so. If you are to win a big sum of money in Sweden, it’s in the lotto you should put your money.
