For all intents and purposes I was going to buy Beatles Rock Band today. Its new the Rock Band guitar/drums simulation game based entirely on the Beatles. I am a fan and it looks good. Its almost 200 Euro but I have a load of games to trade in including the woefully bad Wolfenstein.
However as I walked to the game shop I also walked past Löplabbet, a specialist running store. I had a sudden pang of …well you know, I am on the fitness regime and the money I spend on this Beatles Rock Band game could be better off spent on tailored running shoes and a tracksuit.
So that was it, I came back with some very nice New Balance running shoes and a tracksuit, very expensive but I dont believe you should cut corners when it comes to running shoes. I have to commend Löplabbet they were very thorough. They examined my feet, my gait in detail and I got the feeling they were really interested in me rather than seeing me as a punter. They were interested in why I wanted to run, what my ambitions were. They did everything I would expect from a pro salesperson. Sadly there arent many around. I went to their store at Globen.
So instead of drumming to Yellow Submarine or playing Bass to Revolution I will be looking at my running shoes. Still if I can get a few kilos off with my running and my Personal Trainer then maybe I will treat myself.
