8 kilos down 7 kilos to go!

A brief update on my fight against the flab.

Was chuffed to see the scales register 94.1 kgs this morning. Fantastic news. I was around 102/103 kgs before I started running so thats  a good 8 kilos off.  The juicing has been a tremendous help. Feel vibrant, more energy and the more rapid weight loss has spurred me on in these cold days.

Many people told me I would put all the weight back on after my juice fast as it was all water. Clearly this was not the case.  I think if you just juice then yes you may put it all back on.  With a decent exercise regime there is every chance you can keep the weight loss and even kick on like myself.

My goal weight is 85 kilos only another 7 kilos to go!  I hit the treadmill today and it was bloody tedious. I never realised how much visual stimulation I got from running outdoors. Its a different kind of mental workout when you are on the mill. The only real benefit was seeing myself in the mirror, quite a difference from the last time I plodded in there!

I have changed my strategy somewhat. Now I am concentrating on a weekly mileage rather than a time based workout. Starting with 15 miles (24kms) per week and then working up. I am doing shorter distances but more frequent. It has its risks of course but according to Bob Glover its the way to go! I have now dropped the run/walk/run method completely.

Currently blogging while sipping a juice made from 3 apples, half a peeled lemon, big cut of fresh ginger and yellow pepper. Lovely!
