So that week went by really fast and I have to be honest I have not missed meat at all!
Its interesting to see the world through a vegetarians eyes. Supermarket shopping for lunch and at the local Thai for lunch…both had good veggie options.
Home cooking is easy, thats the beauty of vegetarian cooking its not just lentil soup. There are so many lovely dishes out there to cook. The Veggie Jalfrezi was delicious.
Some of you have written to me asking about Jason Vale aka The Juice Master‘s three day detox juicing plan. I have only ever done the seven day plan. So just for you and because I feel like getting some more fresh fruit and veg inside me I will do the three day plan starting from tomorrow.
I have to give a big shout to the Blueberry Lifestyle shop in Stockholm. They have a few of the Juicemaster’s supplements in stock and lots of other goodies as well. They even have raw hemp powder so it means I do not have to order it in from the UK. Lovely!
Check out their menu, they offer a lot of freshly made juices and smoothies as well as some fantastic wraps and soups.

My goodness you are very inspiring – I think I will have to check in here a bit more often and hope that your energy, enthusiasm and dedication will rub off on me. Spring is here and I’m dying to get out running again and really need to rethink what I’m eating. Well done you and thanks for the inspiration!!!
How much weight did you loose during the first week?
@Nicole – nice to see you still pop over to the blog. I realised the blog has changed a lot since the early days… I am pleased if my enthusiasm rubs off on you. I think Stockholm and indeed Sweden is a great place to run so many good trails.
@ Dennis. Around a kilo mate. Definitely more to do with the running than the diet though. A veggie diet is not necessarily great for weight loss. One can over indulge on dairy but I have restricted that. Very little cheese and soya milk, soya yoghurt. I do feel though that my diet is so much more balanced eating this way because you have to think about. It takes a bit more thinking than grilling a chicken breast and boiling up a bit of pasta.
I am actually more interested in getting the right nutrients into my body to get optimum health, ward off these nasty colds and flus that seem to pervade Stockholm and of course fuel my runs!!! How is your diet going?
