Dajm, dime, daim trivia
One of Sweden’s biggest export products. Originally made by Marabou AB, Sundbyberg in 1953 under the name Dajm. When Kraft Foods aquired Marabou the name was changed to Daim. Sold in the UK under the name of Dime until 2005 when it was changed to Daim. Manufactured today in Kraft Foods Upplands Väsby factory. And yes, it’s one of my favourites.
Actually, you’ve got the word “långtradare” wrong. Or sort of, since that type of truck indeed is intended for long distance (fjärrtransporter). However, the “lång” part of the name refer to the lenght of the truck(lorry?) + trailer. Normally 24m or 25,25m in Sweden (depending on type)
